When Deux Cranes founder Michiko Marron-Kibbey moved to Paris in the fall of 2017, food served as her guide to the city. Strolling through the farmers’ market next to her 15th arrondissement home, she witnessed first-hand  producers’ pride in their offerings; an emotion she felt was shared in the Japanese food culture of her youth. Attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence continue to guide her approach to confectionery, as epitomized in the name Deux Cranes: a harmony of French and Japanese traditions, evolving together.

With this Collection, Michiko transports us to a Parisian pâtisserie, via four mouth-watering bonbon varieties that recall quintessential French pastry — from a refined Deux Cranes perspective.

French-trained Head Chocolatier Michiko Marron-Kibbey founded Deux Cranes in Los Gatos, California in 2018. Inspired by Michiko's Japanese heritage and the esthetics of both Japanese and French food cultures, Deux Cranes designs and hand-crafts exquisite, small-batch artisanal confections that evoke flavors from Michiko's youth.
