Online Experience FAQ

  • How much does it cost to participate?
    • Online 102: Ingredients: $70 (which includes three origins of our chocolate chips, seven ingredients commonly found in chocolate bars, five chocolate samples [made by other makers], and a 1 hour interactive class)
    • Online 103: Tasting: $70 (includes 5 full bars of chocolate, a tasting sheet, and a 1 hour interactive class)
    • Online 106: Large Group Experience: $50 (includes 3 full bars of chocolate, a tasting sheet, and a 30-minute interactive class)
    • Origin Stories: $75 (includes six chocolate bars from six chocolate makers, and a 2-hour talk with the cocoa producer and chocolate makers)
    • Live Interactive Virtual Tour: $10 (includes a 1 hour interactive factory tour)
    • Cacao Farm Story Time: $10 (includes a 45-minute engaging and interactive children's class)
  • Do I need to buy chocolate to attend?
    • Online 102: Ingredients, Online 103: Tasting, Online 106: Large Group Experience, and Origin Stories: Currently, yes, as the code to sign up for the class comes with the set and we want everyone in class to be participating. The classes are created with the specific set of ingredients and chocolate bars in mind.
    • Live, Interactive Virtual Tour: A purchase of chocolate is not required (but always recommended)
    • Cacao Farm Story Time: A purchase of chocolate is not necessary for this children's class. We do recommend purchasing a dried cacao pod to enhance the interactive experience.
  • May I split my chocolate with a friend?
    • Absolutely! But the set does only come with a single seat for the Zoom presentation so you’d have to be together in order to both participate. If you want to share with someone in a different location we recommend you send them their own set so that they can also sign in from their computer.
  • Can I have this as a private class? If Y how?
    • Yes! Please contact events@dandelionchocolate.com
  • Can I do this for a large group?
    • Potentially! Please contact events@dandelionchocolate.com
  • Can I attend from another country?
    • Yes, as long as you are able to use Zoom. Although the times are not designed around international participants
  • Do I have to take class if I buy this set?
    • No, you don’t have to, but these were all designed and priced to include the accompanying classes.
  • Why is this more than just buying the chocolate individually?
    • Because you get a class with it!
  • Who will be teaching class?
    • Our Chocolate Educators who have come from different parts of the company and have a lot of experience in both teaching and our chocolate.
  • What if I don’t have a computer? Can I still attend?
    • Zoom is able to work on mobile devices.
  • I want to gift this to my niece. I don’t think she’ll be able to figure out Zoom. Can you walk her through setting up?
    • Yes! The first few minutes of the class is Zoom set-up instructions and getting used to the platform. Older siblings, parents, and guardians are welcome to help and stay throughout the experience if needed.
  • What do we need to participate?
    • A computer or mobile device that is able to run Zoom. There is a slideshow presentation to walk through class so we recommend having video (not just audio) capabilities. A (mostly) quiet place to sit and enjoy class. A glass of water. And your set of chocolate. Maybe a pen/pencil for your handout?
  • My chocolate arrived late and I'm scheduled for today, can I reschedule?
    • Of course!
  • I would like a refund!
    • We can provide a refund or reschedule your experience if you contact us at least 72 hours in advance. If you are taking Online 103: Tasting and purchased chocolate for the class, we are unable to provide refunds for the chocolate.
  • Can I attend class more than once with the same code?
    • The Zoom code is only good for one use, for the scheduled class.
  • I was late and missed the start of class, can I attend in the future?
    • Yes. Use the same code to signup. Signup is necessary to reserve a space in class.
  • How long will this tasting class be offered?
    • We intend for this to be a part of our long-term events offerings. After things get back to normal we intend to offer less frequently but still offer this virtual option.
