Loosely inspired by the now-famous “Dubai Bar,” Cacao & Cardamom owner Annie Rupani offers a trio of indulgent Bonbon varieties, showcasing rich, textural fillings evocative of her favorite Middle Eastern and South Asian desserts. She house-crafts three toothsome, salty-sweet nutty pralinés: a deeply caramelly hazelnut praliné, delicately crisped with feuilletine and butter-toasted Middle Eastern kataifi dough; a creamy-crisp pistachio filling, invitingly crunchy with butter-toasted kataifi; and a velvety, cinnamon-warmed cashew recipe reminiscent of the traditional Indian sweet kaju katli. All three decadent Bonbon varieties are encased in our mellow 70% House Blend chocolate.

Named one of America’s most promising and talented hospitality leaders, founder Annie Rupani is a Houston, Texas-based chocolate artist who graduated from Boston University with a degree in anthropology and religion. She studied abroad in London and Amman, and traveled to Pakistan, Italy, Greece, Egypt, and China, then settled for a time in Malaysia, where she attended pastry school. We taste Annie’s love of the spices, flavors, and people of the world with each transformative chocolate bite.
