A Preview of Our Collaborators
Our 2023 Calendar’s artisans hail from all across the U.S., and Canada. Contributors include over two dozen up-and-coming confectioners and award-winning chocolatiers — many of whom have been Dandelion friends since our beginning in 2010. We are amazed by each maker’s imagination and talent, and grateful for the opportunity to create together.

a few kind words from LAST YEAR
a few kind words
from holiday 2022
We opened our Advent Calendars today and we were absolutely blown away. From packaging, to artwork, to science, and oh you can use these as ornaments! Everything is just incredible.
— Anton
My Advent Calendar has brought me so much joy and happiness this month. The tie-in with astronomy has made it even more special. You guys outdid yourself this year!

Why Are Dark Night Skies So Important?
The Dark Sky Movement is a global initiative striving to reduce light pollution, which obscures the natural night sky and degrades ecosystems through the disruption of biological rhythms in nature.
Since the creation of the National Park Service, a foundational concept was the idea that preserving wildness and solitude is an important component of a healthy society. Dark sky places not only help prevent the deterioration of natural ecosystems as a result of artificial light, but also provide a place for reflection, soothing, and peace.
Why Are Dark Night Skies So Important?
The Dark-Sky Movement is a global initiative that strives to reduce light pollution, which obscures the natural night sky and degrades ecosystems through the disruption of biological rhythms in nature. The notion that preserving wilderness and solitude is an important component of a healthy society has been a foundational concept of the U.S. National Park Service since its inception in 1916. Dark-sky locations not only help prevent the deterioration of natural ecosystems as a result of artificial light, but also provide a place for reflection and peace.
