Dany Kamkhagi — Head Chocolatier of Houston-based Mostly Chocolates — has fond memories of childhood family meals. His father, David, lived in Italy for over a decade, then moved to the U.S., bringing lively Italian food culture with him. David often started family dinners with a bittersweet aperitivo — a sign the day is done and the table set. After dinner, still gathered around the table with his family, he sipped dark, herbal digestivos and let the evening unfold. 

As an adult, Dany found himself drawn to bold botanical flavors, only to realize they were exactly what his dad had been sipping all along. For this collaboration, we worked with Dany to bring those Italian flavors to our Costa Esmeraldas chocolate, and invite you to share these Bonbons as you would a round of drinks, before and after dinner.

A COLLABORATION WITH MOSTLY CHOCOLATE

Mostly Chocolate is a family-run chocolate shop based in Houston, Texas led by Head Chocolatier Dany Kamkhagi, his mother Rina, and his father David. The shop began as Rina’s memory of childhood sweets, then blossomed into a shared creative journey with her husband, then with Dany. Together they operate a close-knit, food-centered family business that celebrates Lebanese heritage, Houston hospitality, and a shared love for craft.
