2023 Advent Calendar

Dandelion Chocolate

Shhhh! You've found our secret Advent Calendar pre-order page. Our 2023 Calendar is a collaboration with astronomer, physics professor, and artist Dr. Tyler Nordgren, plus acclaimed chocolatiers from coast to coast, all crafting within this year's theme: Dark Skies, Bright Stars — highlighting the dark-sky movement, with special focus on twenty-five International Dark-Sky Association-certified viewing locations in the northern hemisphere. (As the holidays become closer, we’ll continue to update this page with more details.)

The Dandelion Chocolate 2023 Advent Calendar is exclusively available by pre-order. Calendars will ship in November in time to unveil on December 1st. Planning to order a few, but aren’t sure of the shipping addresses yet? We’ll send you a form in October to confirm each address.

DARK SKIES, BRIGHT STARS

A TRIBUTE TO NATIONAL PARKS AND THE Night SKY

Our Advent Calendar celebrates every December night leading up to and including Christmas, presenting twenty-five decorated, chocolate-filled boxes designed to double as tree ornaments. This year’s hand-drawn, storybook-like illustrations by astronomer and artist Dr. Tyler Nordgren, highlighting dark sky parks, reserves, and communities around the world and drawing attention to the fight against light pollution.

COLLABORATION

The Dandelion Advent Calendar showcases admired chocolatiers, confectioners, and pastry chefs from all around the country — as well as several international artisans in Canada, England, and Japan. Each holiday season, we are honored to collaborate with superbly gifted creators, many of whom have been Dandelion friends for many years.

Our cherished tradition gathers extraordinary talent, from chocolatiers to our featured artist; and the combined team effort is a marvel, down to the final hand-tying of each bow, and dispatching every Calendar in time for its December 1st unveiling.
